Dr. Wayson Gerwig is a Gentle and Caring Dentist who uses the most advanced materials and procedures available. He practices comfortable, health centered Dentistry with a strong emphasis on getting to know each of his patients. In addition to his technical proficiency, Dr. Gerwig is a careful listener and will explain beforehand what treatment is best for you individual needs.

After earning his Bachelors Degree from Texas A&M University, Dr. Gerwig received his Doctorate from the UT Health Science Center Dental School in San Antonio. He has also been a U.S. Navy Dental Officer. Dr. Gerwig continues to take several continuing education courses including those in advanced orthodontics, TMJ/TMD treatment, advanced endodontic techniques and esthetic Dentistry. Dr Gerwig is a member of the American Orthodontic Society as well as a devoted Sunday School Teacher.

Meet Dr. Chris Gerwig

Dr. Chris Gerwig grew up in Lubbock and has been greatly enjoying the return to his hometown.  After graduating from Coronado HS in 1997 he finished his Bachelors Degree from Texas A&M in 2001 majoring in Business Administration.  From there he went on to attend Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, graduating with honors in 2006. During that time he answered a call to serve his country and worked as an active duty officer in the Air Force serving in the Dental Corp.  He completed a one year residency that provided advanced training in all aspects of dentistry.  This desire to always improve and stay on the cutting edge has served as a hallmark of his professional career.  At Gerwig Family Dental we always strive to offer the latest in proven materials and techniques.

During Dr. Chris Gerwig's active duty tour in the U.S. Air Force he was stationed at Eglin AFB in Florida and at Eielson AFB in Alaska. While in Fairbanks, Alaska he worked part time in a private practice to begin the transition to that scope of practice.  His wife Cheri also was raised in Lubbock and they have been enjoying the close proximity to family.  Their children Grace, 5 and Kyle, 3 are very excited to be back home in Texas, near family and friends.  Grace is very involved with school, soccer, dance, and tumbling.  Kyle loves to go golfing with his dad and attend any sporting events he can.  Also, they are expecting a third addition to the family in late April!  Dr. Chris Gerwig is committed to continuing the family tradition of providing excellent dental care with a gentle, caring approach.
